JOB OVERVIEW.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, preparing financial reports, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.


RESPONSIBILITIES.

General Ledger Activity:

  • Preparing and maintaining Balance Sheet reconciliations monthly.
  • Maintaining Prepaid and Accrual documentation and modules in accounting software.
  • Recording and documenting all Fixed Assets placed in service and related depreciation.
  • Recording entries and tracking Capitalized Expenditures and WIP.
  • Validating, tracking and recording all employee benefit activity.

Audit and Compliance:

  • Assisting with annual audit documentation requests.
  • Tracking and reconciling revenue reporting by state and providence.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive set of internal control documents and implementing process improvements to support reporting accuracy and documentation.

Tax Compliance:

  • Managing all Sales and Use tax filings, payments, state communication and accounting.
  • Maintaining tax related depreciation schedules.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and supporting organizational goals.
  • Supporting and coordinating with Accounting and Finance team members to complete responsibilities timely and accurately.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA designation preferred.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience as a Senior Accountant or Auditor.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Tax experience preferred.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
